The facebook notes application is facebook’s way of allowing you to
market your blog directly inside facebook. It also allows you to share
written content with photos and then tag people who are either
mentioned directly in the note or who you feel would like to read it
or would appreciate being included as a part of your message. Here
are seven great ways to come up with excellent faceboook notes that
grab attention and help market you and your business.
1. Use your best blog posts. You have already written them so you
might as well share them on facebook. Make sure to include a link back
to your blog at the end of each note.
2. Share a personal story. People love to read these and will comment
on them and share their stories back. Make sure that you include
pictures as well as important details that will draw your reader into
your story.
3. Share an inspirational story that either happened to you or someone
you know or that you heard somewhere else. Make sure to include
relevant details and information on where the original appeared if you
copied it from somewhere else.
4. Ask questions and encourage people to respond. Tag people you would
like to get to know better. Make sure that your questions are relevant
to most of your friends and that they are questions that people will
feel comfortable answering.
5. Share information about a controversy or an important cause. You
want to be careful to avoid making it too controversial or writing
anything that will make people mad but if you do it write this can
create quite the buzz about you and your writing.
6. Share another article from somewhere else that either you or
someone else wrote and include the original citation and your comments
and thoughts. Ask people to share their opinions as well.
7. Share a list of ways to do something or a piece of advice. Make it
interesting and appealing and ask for feedback. Include step by step
instructions and any pictures that are needed in order to make your
advice doable for your audience.

I have two e-commerce sites that I would like to promote via Facebook. I try and get repeat customers by offering free opportunities that are sent out via my facebook friends. So far it has done fairly well.
Thanks for some other ideas though.

Although I do understand the benefits of Facebook I try to keep it as personal as possibly whitch means that I keep my advertising away from it.
