Like any other domains of activity , Social Media have his own structure . Each person see the structure of Social Media in his own way,I also see this structure in my own way.So, I think social media is divided in 7 parts :

From many Social Media networks you can take some dofollow links,this will help you in your SERP (Search Engine Result Page).Social media is very important nowadays because on social media networks you can find some persons that can help you in your projects or you can promote your site/blog. Social media networks can give to you a a big quantity of traffic because sites like Youtube have millions of visitors per week . there are to much social network i think.. i can’t afford to use all, that why i choose only the best available at that moment, for example if video – youtube, wiki – wikipedia.org, networking – facebook,twitter and other i might not even try to register..

I thing it is important that people use not just one of the seven you mentioned but a little of each. This will spread you content around and looks good to search engines when they crawl and find your site and links on different social channels. Meaning if one is to put all their eggs in one basket (one social site) It may not get the traffic or a ranking you were shooting for. It does take time. I try and learn one method at a time. Then I do my best to add value to that social site or blog. Once I feel and see good results. I will move onto learning some new (new to me
