Obviously there are many ways to get links from social media sites but today we will talk about profile links.
There are several social networking sites that allow users to add links to their profile,some of them even allow anchored links in Bio field.PageRank of these new created profile pages is 0 but let me explain the benefits of having a link pointing back to your website from a social media website profile.
Most important thing is that some of these social sites have a high pagerank and authority in Google’s eyes.Second thing is that your profile page can gain PR if you are active in these communities.A good example is Propeller,check Propeller’s top users and you will see that some profile pages are even pagerank 6.Pretty cool ha

Not all of these links are do follow and to save you some time i made a list with 24 social media sites that allow do follow links in users profiles.
- Technorati is the biggest blog search engine,technorati indexes million of blog posts in real time. PageRank 9 Alexa: 662
- LinkedIn is the world’s largest proffesional network with over 40 million members and growing. PageRank 8 Alexa: 74
- Digg is the largest and most popular social news website on the internet where users can submit,vote or discuss.Covers all topics including general news,politics,entertainment and sports. PageRank 8 Alexa: 123
- Last.fm is a internet radio and music community website with over 30 million active users. PageRank 8 Alexa: 307
- Mixx is a social news website that covers all topics,very to with Digg but in my opinion with more and better features. PageRank 8 Alexa: 1,078
- Vox is a free personal blogging service where people share thoughts, photos and videos. PageRank 8 Alexa: 1,234
- Propeller is social news website that operates in a similar fashion with Digg and Mixx. PageRank: 8 Alexa: 1,851
- Acrobat Users is the official website of Acrobat User Community. PageRank: 8 Alexa: 31,300
- MyBlogLog is a blogging community owned by Yahoo!. PageRank: 7 Alexa: 1,519
- Now Public is a website which provide users all breaking news of the world subm
