Submitting your website content to dofollow social bookmarking sites can bring you a lot of backlinks and traffic.I made a list of such sites with their pagerank and alexa rank.

@Sameer Yes i am positive about Delicious,it’s NoFollow you can easily check using NoDoFollow Add-on for Firefox it’s a useful tool.
@Albert Indeed KeywordLuv is great but as you can see peoples still don’t use it,i have installed to be able to talk with “Albert” and “John” and not with “Make Money”. Guys this blog is using KeywordLuv just add in the name field Name@Keywords.

This list is helpful. I will use it to sign up at social bookmarking sites. I’ve been putting sign ups off because they can be a bit intimidating. Now I understand that Social Sites are good for direct traffic and organic SEO.

Mixx is no longer DoFollow. I have a Firefox plugin that checks by highlighting, and only the links to the stories on Mixx are DoFollow. The external links to the original story is NoFollow.

It’s just what I needed.
I agree that using that mozilla dofollow addon is absolutely awesome. It helped me to find out that a lot of places I was contributing to were in fact nofollow, so I simply stopped.
Wetpaint – Ugh! what a waste of time that was – why write a 1000 word article for ZERO page-juice?
Now I stick to the classics like Ezine articles, Squidoo, and those types.
@Kikolani I just checked and Mixx is still DoFollow,i used probably same firefox plugin and to make sure i checked the page source too.
@Make Money Digg and StumbleUpon are dofollow but they use their own toolbars and redirects the urls to original source of articles so they are useless for link building but for traffic they are great!
@Stephen I couldn’t agree,NoFollow is just selfish but there are quite few advantages,first of all most peoples just leave a comment or article only to get a link and that can be really disturbing sometimes. I have installed here all plugins to give some page juice back to my readers but many don’t even take the time to make a useful and non spammy comment,that’s just rude in my opinion.

Nice list and just what i was looking for.
Previously i have been able to get decent search engine positions without worrying too much about links but over the last few days that seems to be changing so time for a bit of link building me thinks to steady my search positions.
A little link building is worth to make even if you have decent SE rankings David,go for it! I am working as we speak to make another list because that seems to help a lot of people.

If you want to know how to identify a nofollow and dofollow Social Bookmarking websites. Install the “NoDoFollow” plugins from firefox. After you install and restart the firefox. Open the Tools menu from firefox toolbar and Find NODOFOLLOW and check it. thats it…

Great information on the “Social bookmarking sites” arena. Just to be very careful, is it true that you can get penalized for self-bookmarking and according to my serious understanding that they don’t really care how many other sites you bookmark in between.
The thing that drives me crazy with these sites is all the signing up. I guess you need to have a registration process but (for me) it’s very annoying. The cross we have to bear I guess. Thanks Nice Blogger you come up with great lists.

Great advise and the list is very handy. Social networking and bookmarking sites do work pretty well, if you use them properly. The idea is to use them constructively and not spam each one, for most people it becomes a lot of work to manage a lot of accounts.

Like technocrati is definitely no follow, same with slashdot and reddit. Mixx is nofollow, so’s propeller, etc.
This list is a good starting point, but anyone looking for link value from social bookmarking should really get a firefox plugin, or read the page source.
There is an astonishing number of social bookmarking sites now, arent there? The challenge is to find the ones that deliver the maximum bang for the buck. Putting them in PR order certainly helps that. Thanks for taking the time to do so.

Dofollow social bookmarking is pretty pointless. Your link value is usually PR 0. Yes, the social bookmarking site might have very high PR, but that doesn’t mean it passes to your site.
